About SNIP & CHIP SLO
ASAP has partnered with Animals In Need Fund of Nipomo and Care4Paws of Santa Barbara to bring no-cost, low-cost spay/neuter, microchip and vaccines to SLO county. We are hoping to reach low income and underserved communities.
We will hold frequent community clinics using C.A.R.E.4Paws two mobile spay/neuter vans in various additional locations going forward. Dates and locations of future clinics can be found HERE.
The goal of Snip & Chip SLO is to promote animal wellness and curb pet overpopulation so that pets do not end up homeless and at risk of euthanasia.

How to help
To make this project successful it will take all of us in the community working together. Your support in the past helped us bring the euthanasia rate at San Luis Obispo Animal Services to near zero and keep it there.
We need your help.
Our aim is to build a strong network of local businesses, organizations, agencies, and supporters. We know in any endeavor like this, we must begin with individual participation. That’s where you are critical to success.
Here are some ways you can participate and partner.
- Donate. We anticipate that it will cost $4-5,000 monthly for these events where we can do up to 75 spays or neuters and provide as many microchips and vaccinations as are requested. See donation info below.
- Volunteer to help at our events or help with promotions – Flyers, social media posts and e-blasts. Click HERE if you want to complete a volunteer application.
- Tell everyone you know about this vital program to address pet over-population.
